- The WORD processor files, however, will always indicate the CURRENT month, whenever the file is opened for editing. Workbooks which were last updated prior to March 2021, contain one of the following statements: 'No one may add or subtract from the official requirements found in Boy Scout Requirements (Pub. 33216 – SKU 637685).
- In the Combine Documents dialog box, (1) check the Comments option in the Comparison settings section, (2) check the Original document option in the Show changes section, and (3) click the OK button.
Comments and revisions got a makeover with Word 2013, with a much more streamlined look and feel and improved functionality. A key collaboration and communication component of Word, comments now include long-requested functions like replying and marking as complete.
Click the Review tab. In the Comments group, click the New Comment button. The New Comment button is shown here. Click it to see the Comments box appear to the right of the current page, similar to what’s shown in the following figure. Track Changes and add Comments in Word Word allows users to track their changes and add comment balloons when multiple users are working on the same document. Your name or initials will be displayed next to the changes you made. The first step is setting up Word to display your name. From the Tools menu choose Options.

To add a comment:
- Select the relevant text you are commenting on–sentence, paragraph, etc.
- From the REVIEW tab, click New Comment, or right-click and select New Comment.
- A comment bubble with your name will appear. Type your comment in the field.
- Click away or press Escape to complete the comment.
- If you need to add to or edit your comment, simply click on the text and continue typing in the text field.
To reply to a comment:
- Hover over the comment you wish to reply to.
- Click the reply icon in the upper right corner of the comment box.
- A reply field will appear with your name attached. Type your reply in the field.
- Click away or press Escape to complete the reply.
To mark a comment as complete:
- Right-click on the comment and select Mark Comment Done.
